Max Verstappen says Kimi Raikkonen and Sebastian Vettel did not leave him enough room at the first corner of the Belgian Grand Prix and used the incident to defend moves he made on both drivers later in the race. The Dutch teenager started from second on the grid but bogged down as the lights went out and found himself behind Raikkonen and Vettel on the approach to Turn 1. He responded by attacking the Ferraris on the inside but as he did so Vettel clipped Raikkonen from the outside and all three suffered damage to their cars.Of course the start wasnt great but from there I dived up the inside, I didnt lock a wheel so I was easily making the corner but they just kept squeezing me, he said. At one point I was on the inside, Kimi was again squeezing me and Sebastian just turned in on both of us. That took my front wing, I had a lot of damage and also the floor got destroyed so from there on your race is gone.Asked if Vettel should have left more room, for the two cars on the inside, Verstappen said: Definitelyy, I mean he knows that hes on the outside and suddenly he just turns into the corner where there are two other cars, so I think thats pretty logical.ddddddddddddRaikkonen was critical of Verstappens actions later in the race when they made light contact as the Ferrari driver attempted to pass around the outside and, despite having his car in front under braking, had to take to the run-off area.Ah, he should say that at Turn 1, Vestappen responded, I mean, its ridiculous. Its good television if somebody is moaning. Especially after Turn 1 when they do something to you like that, Im not going to give up my position to them that easy afterwards.Asked if he has been too aggressive at recent races, Verstappen said he was not worried about what his rivals think of him.To be honest I think thats a big lie. Im just defending my position and if somebody doesnt like it its his own problem. ' ' '
