Felipe Massa believes Nico Rosbergs defensive manoeuvre on Lewis Hamilton in Austria went just beyond the acceptable limit but was not worthy of a post-race penalty.?Hamilton collided with Rosberg when the championship leader aggressively defended his lead on the final lap. After contact Hamilton went on to win the race and Rosberg crawled home with a damaged car to finish fourth, with both men incurring the wrath of Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff. On Thursday Mercedes confirmed it will not be imposing team orders on its drivers for the incident, which the stewards blamed on Rosberg. Massa, one of the most experienced drivers on the grid, says he questioned Rosbergs driving after seeing the incident a second time.Asked if Rosberg had waited to late to turn right for the corner, Massa said: But this is what everybody is doing if somebody is trying to pass you around the outside, everybody is waiting a little bit to turn. Maybe he wait a little bit too much but waiting a little bit to turn, you do it, otherwise if you turn too early the other guy can pass you on the exit, but this is part of the game. For sure this was a little bit too much. When I saw it the first time I thought it was normal, a race incident, but then when you see the replay, when you see the slow motion, when you see everything, for sure he passed a little bit the limit. He already paid for what he did, he finished fourth and he was penalised but he didnt lose anything so the penalty I think the FIA just wants to show they are doing something but he didnt do anything to get himself penalised. However Massa thought Rosbergs reprimand for continuing with a damaged car was harsh, given that he slowly made his way round to the chequered flag after the incident.?What are you going to do? He will stop? He had nothing to do. Whatever situation like that you come slowly, he came slowly anyway, he didnt disturb anybody.Massa believes the incident would not be such a big talking point if Hamilton and Rosberg had been driving for different teams.?The problem is because, all these talks now is because they are from the same team. Because if they were not for the same team nobody would be saying anything here, everybody would say ah, they are fighting. Its an amazing fight between whatever, a Ferrari and a Mercedes for the championship, this is amazing, but because they are in the same team you guys are ah, its amazing what has happened, I mean we cannot forget they are fighting for the championship. CHICAGO -- Former Chicago Cubs closer Hector Rondon is on board with his team acquiring lefty flamethrower Aroldis Chapman from the New York Yankees and is willing to pitch in the seventh or eighth inning or whenever manager Joe Maddon wants him.I think its good for our team, Rondon said before Mondays Cubs/White Sox?game. Hes one of the best relievers we have right now. Im good with that. I know I did a really good job in my role. You have a chance to get that guy, better take it.Rondon has turned into a pretty good closer, but Chapman is simply more accomplished, making it an easy deal to accept, according to Maddon. This is no lateral move, he said. When the team sees that the acquisition raises the level of their abilities, its a very easy sell, Maddon said. Its like a lineup. When you throw one more guy into the lineup, what it does to the rest of the group. The same thing happens with the bullpen. You put the anchor on the backside it really permits you to do other [things].It means Chicagos relievers will all move down an inning starting with Rondon, who will function mostly as a setup man. That leaves Pedro Strop and young Carl Edwards Jr.?for the sixth and seventh innings. Newcomers Joe Nathan and Mike Montgomery can fit anywhere in the middle-to-late innings as well. With the additions of Nathan and Chapman, the Cubs have added 543 career saves to their bullpen since Sunday.Any time you get a guy that throws 105 mph on your team, thats good news, catcher David Ross said. Weree a tight-knit group.dddddddddddd When you bring in a guy that will help you win, its fun.I have a new mitt he can break in.It doesnt hurt when the former closer can take his demotion without a complaint. Respect for Rondon increased in the clubhouse after hearing his take.Im really happy, Rondon said. I dont care if I pitch in the eighth or seventh. The only thing that matters is to come into the game and do my job.Cubs players didnt seem to mind the prospect haul the team gave up to get Chapman. They have bigger things on their minds than a Class-A player coming back to haunt them someday.Im not a big prospect guy, Ross said, laughing. This is my last year ... It says they [the front office] are committed to winning.Asked what he knew of Chapman, Rondon responded: Everyone knows his fastball. Hes coming to us to throw cheese.Maddon believes Chapmans presence opens things up for him in the back end of the pen. Rondon is still bound to get some save chances, but the Cubs didnt give up their No.1 prospect and other players to play the matchup game with Chapman.Hes their man for the ninth inning now and for as long as the team plays into October. He has really different things about him that are really unique to him, Maddon said.Chapman was activated before Tuesdays game, with left-hander?Clayton Richard?designated for assignment to make room on the roster.?
